The Opening is a very lively abstract piece where all of the elements seem to be simulating a very heavy rainstorm. The mixed media piece consist of tissue paper, wac and compise with fire and smoke.
 
The white outer border of the work makes it feel as if the viewer accidentally left a window open during a rainstorm, highlighted by the pieces of paper and wrapper getting in. The white splatters of paints look like pouring rain and the dark clouds in the background supports the composition.
